Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She received an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in acting at the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a writer and American actress active in theatre, television and film. She began acting on stage and went onto appear in mainstream, independent, as well as television shows. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received various nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. Her debut on stage in the role of Ariel, in The Tempest. Alongside the Broadway production Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is most well-known for her performances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
